tardive dyskinesia
Tardive Dyskinesia is an involuntary neurological movement disorder caused by the use of neuroleptic drugs that are prescribed to treat certain psychiatric or gastrointestinal conditions. The drugs deal with dopamine receptor blocking. Long-term use of these drugs may produce biochemical abnormalities in the brain known as the striatum.
Tardive Dystonia is a more severe form of Tardive Dykinesia where slower twisting movements of the neck and trunk muscles are prominent.
Over 25 years ago, I was diagnosed with a focal eyelid dystonia (also called Blepharospasm), which affects the eyes. Twice I tried the common treatment option, eye injections. These treatments affected my eyes and the side of my face and created for me an artificial smile. Later I found out about a whole food and nutritional supplement program that nourished my brain and body. Within six weeks, my symptoms dramatically diminished. Maybe since this nutritional program helped me, it could help you.
